Online First Response Instruction, which is another way of saying fire safety training.

It should take you between 20-25 minutes to complete, but most of this time is watching animated videos. 

You will be taught the fire principles, the different types of fire and what equipment is best to use on each type of fire. Some pretty handy stuff actually.

Yes, it is. Actually, it is Queensland law that all workers have this instruction every 2 years. It is also in the Australian Standards as best practice.

You most certainly do. You will be provided a Certificate of Completion once you have successfully finished. This can make your resume and will form part of your personal skillset.

Absolutely you can. If you do pause your session, you can pick it up right where you left off when you log back in the next time. This is also true if you do not return for a few days. We appreciate that you’re busy.

Yes, you can. We know the password we provide is secure but it might not be memorable so you can change your password when you log into your course. To change this, you will need to use the original password that we provided so keep it handy.

Oh we know. In each session, the questions that are presented are not the same for every worker as they are drawn and displayed from a much larger pool of questions. Actually, we’re quite certain that no one will get the same questions in the same sequence.

What you learn should stay with you. These become your skills, and wherever you go, they’ll go with you. Say for example, if you’re off work and camping with friends, and an accidental fire started, you will in a much better position to make the best judgement and take control of the situation.

Great question and Yes you can. We know it’s always better when you can refresh your new skills. Your log in will get you to a refresher session at any time you feel you want to. Your Certificate is also there when you log back in so you have access to this if you need another copy for whatever reason.

Frequently Asked Questions for Company Admins

Very good question, employers will need to allow for every worker to have this particular training every 2 years, so whatever your staff quantity is, and maybe a few more up your sleeve for those new workers that will be hired in the coming months. But please know you that once you’ve purchased your original quantity, you can simply purchase more licences/training sessions at any quantity you need, be that 1 or more.

Each licence purchased is valid for 2 years from the purchase date. So you don’t need to use them as quick as you can but it’s probably more convenient to have a few additional licences spare so you have them ready to issue easily at induction for new workers that start. You will see all of your spare licences in your dashboard so you don’t need to remember the numbers, let your Dashboard do the record keeping for you. Also, each of the workers Certificates of Completion, are also valid for 2 years from date of their course completion.

Not a problem at all. Once you’ve purchased your original quantity which is more likely to be the largest purchase of licences you’ll make, you can purchase any quantity you need at any time you need thereafter. No problems, no worries, no hassles.

Let your Dashboard do all the work. Your Dashboard allows you to upload all workers names and emails via CSV formats or one at a time in the table provided. Once the workers details are loaded, the system will automatically generate an invitation to each new worker added, inviting them to complete their training. This email provides them a link and their individual login details. After this initial invitation has been sent, your Dashboard allows you as the Company Admin, to view all those workers and their progress. From there you can see who has started, who has completed and more importantly, who has not started. With these ‘not started’ workers, you can send them another reminder giving them a little ‘nudge’ of encouragement.

Decide how many licences you need to purchase which is probably the number of workers you have. If you chose to purchase a few more, that’s great because you’ll have some extra licences up your sleeve for all new employees commencing. Remember, each licence purchased is valid for 2 years from purchase date, so plenty of life and breathing space with those ‘spare’ licences.

No, not really. Your dashboard will display and keep account of licences purchased, licences used, and licences available to use. Your Dashboard will do all the hard work, so the system works for you, not the other way around.

Absolutely. You can send an email to anyone you have loaded up into your Dashboard. Send an email to those that are dragging their feet with a kind reminder, send reminders to those that have completed to do a refresher course. The Dashboard is amazingly easy to operate. The Dashboard is your key to success and will provide you information and data in real time.

You can, if you want but you probably don’t have to. This will probably depend on the quantity of workers you have. It stands to reason the more workers you have, the more time you will need to manage them. Your Dashboard will make short, easy work of this so even if you had to log into it daily, it wouldn’t be a demanding task at all.

You can add workers one at a time, or you can upload a whole lot via CSV file (comma separated value). If you only need to add a single new employee, it’s as simple as typing their name into your Dashboard and the system will send them an email invitation (with login details) to commence the course. Technically speaking- Easy-Peasy!

Yes and No. Yes, you can delete a worker that has not commenced the course and by doing so, their licence will go back into your available pool of licences to use again. No, you cannot delete a worker if they have commenced or completed the course, that licence is considered used so that worker cannot be deleted. 

Yes you can. From your Dashboard, you can allow Company Admin access to others you nominate and remove said access at any time. The OFRI system has been designed for this consideration as we appreciate that the Company Admin needs a holiday as well. 

Not at the moment sorry. At this stage this training does not connect with any outside software, but we appreciate that should this be a feature that is requested by many of our users, we would go about researching and developing such. This is true for all features that our clients inform us of. Please know our suggestion box is always welcoming your input and feedback.
